Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

And we’re looking for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. 

Exai Bio is seeking a motivated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join the team. This role will be responsible for performing high complexity diagnostic testing using NGS techniques. This role involves all aspects from sample processing to data analysis, while complying with all applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical high complexity testing according to the standard operating procedures (SOPS)
• Supervise CLAs at all times during the analytical process.
• Monitors test data, quality control, quality assurance, preventive maintenance, proficiency testing and all operations related to laboratory testing procedures.
• Adheres to the highest level of patient care as defined by the established standard protocols and maintains confidentiality on all tests performed by the laboratory.
• Participates in continuing education credits

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory studies or equivalent science related studies.
• Valid California CLS license (Generalist or CGMBS) to perform high complexity testing.
• American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification is required.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience preferably in a molecular biology laboratory performing NGS or other high complexity molecular techniques.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts occasionally.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask as well as work independently within a team environment.
• You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with the exception of a medical or religious exemption.
